One Point of “The Triangle”: Opportunities in Community-Based Teaching

February 17 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am UTC-4

This session will highlight experiential learning and the benefit of working with & for community organizations. There are benefits for both students and educators when we all work together and recognize that valuable learning and teaching occurs both in schools and in the community. Learn about community-based teaching, an essential part of the home-school-community learning triangle. Community-based learning, as a pedagogical strategy, is intentionally designed to provide holistic support to students on their learning journey.

Jessie Collins is an Ontario Certified Teacher and an Education Specialist at the Children’s Museum in London, Ontario. She is also a graduate of the teacher education program at Althouse.
