(Required) OSSTF – Your Union, Your Profession, Your Future
October 27, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm UTC-4

All Year 2 Teacher Candidates are expected to attend this event (or one of the simultaneous Affiliate events) per Ontario College of Teachers’ (OCT) accreditation requirements.
The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) is a trade union made up of teachers and education workers in Ontario secondary schools charged with representing members in their employment relationship with school boards. Learn about the support and protection available to its members.
We are excited to welcome presenter, Tim Davis.
We will learn about the history of the Federation and its role today in public education. We will learn about benefits of membership, resources and programs provided by the federation to support teacher development.
By the end of the session:
- I can identify the Federation’s objectives and priorities
- I can describe some of the important historical and/or current work done by the Federation
- I can access a variety of resources created by the Federation related to teaching and professional development
